Ever wanted to add emoticons to your text messages or emails instead of a simple text happy face? There is a simple method for enabling this in your iOS device, and the best part is you don’t even have to download or install anything. It comes pre-installed on your iOS device, all you have to do is find the somewhat hidden option, and enable it.
The setting necessary to enable the emoticons the same throughout the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. Basically what you need to do is add a new keyboard called “Emoji”. Here are the steps:
Open Settings -> Go to General -> Keyboard -> Keyboards -> Add New Keyboard -> Emoji.
That’s all that’s required to enable the emoticons. Now whenever you type a text message, email or anything else that brings up the keyboard, you’ll see a new logo on the bottom left of your keyboard. It looks a little like a circle with lines running through it.
